- Size and performance: these apps are heavy. Cloud rendering means a smaller app but slower turnaround and constant internet. - Watermarks: clean export often requires a paid plan. Check before you fall in love with the editor. - Aspect ratios: 9:16, 1:1, 16:9, one tap each. If vertical is awkward, the app was not built for your platforms. - Offline capability: planes, bad signal, on location. Know which features need the cloud before you need them offline. - Money model: subscription, one-time, credits. A monthly fee for an app you open twice is a donation. - Recency: recent reviews, not the all-time rating. A 2023 review describes a different app. - Data and privacy: these apps process your face and voice. A vague policy here is a hard no.
